Buy Genuine Two-Wheeler Spare Parts from India for Tanzania

Tanzania’s spare-parts market grew by almost half in a year, while the value coming from India stayed flat. If you import or distribute parts for Bajaj, TVS, Hero, KTM, Yamaha or Royal Enfield, we can supply genuine parts from India in mixed LCL or full containers.

  • Tanzania imports, 2024: about USD 11 million
  • From India, 2024: about USD 0.8 million
  • India share: about 7%, down from 11% in 2023
  • Shipping: FCL and mixed-brand LCL

What the trade data shows

UN Comtrade shows Tanzania reporting motorcycle-part imports (HS 8714.10) of about USD 10.9 million in 2024, up from about USD 7.4 million in 2023, a rise of about 47%. Imports from India stayed close to USD 0.8 million in both years.

Because the whole market grew and India’s value did not, India’s share slipped from about 11% to about 7%. The extra demand went to other suppliers, which tells an importer that there is room for a dependable source from India.

What your import needs

The Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) says goods covered by its pre-export verification of conformity (PVoC) programme must have a customs goods declaration and a certificate of conformity before shipment, and that goods arriving at Tanzanian ports without these can be rejected or fined. TBS publishes a list of the HS codes regulated under PVoC.

Ask your clearing agent whether the parts you order fall under that list. We prepare the export side from India to your port and can supply the commercial documents your agent or the inspection body asks for.

One container, several brands

Most parts importers sell more than one brand. Instead of three small shipments from three suppliers, we can gather Bajaj, TVS, Hero or other parts into one LCL shipment, or fill a full container when your volume is there. One invoice, one packing list, one shipment to track.

Parts importers ask us for

  • Clutch plates
  • Chain and sprocket kits

These are the families importers ask for most. Whether a part is available is confirmed against your part-number list, not assumed. Orders are placed by pack quantity, meaning the carton or pack size of each part.

How we ship

  1. Send your list: Brands, models and part numbers or photos of the parts. A spreadsheet or a WhatsApp message both work.
  2. We check and quote: We confirm which parts we can supply and quote for your destination port. Prices depend on the list, the brands and the quantity.
  3. Pack and consolidate: If you buy from more than one brand, we can bring the parts together in one mixed LCL shipment instead of several small ones.
  4. Ship FCL or LCL: Full container (FCL) when the order fills a container, LCL when it does not. We tell you which makes sense for your volume. We ship from any major Indian port.

Documents with every shipment

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • Indian export shipping bill
  • Bill of lading from the shipping line
  • Certificate of origin, when your customs asks for it

Tell us your port and your clearing agent. We check what your customs and any inspection scheme need before we quote.

Common questions from parts importers

Do you supply motorcycle spare parts to importers in Tanzania?

Yes. We export genuine parts for Bajaj, KTM, TVS, Hero, Yamaha and Royal Enfield to importers and distributors. We sell to businesses, not to individual riders. Send your list and destination port and we quote.

Can I buy parts for several brands in one shipment?

Yes. We can consolidate parts from different brands into one mixed LCL shipment, or fill a full container if the volume is there.

Do the parts need a TBS certificate of conformity?

It depends on whether the HS code of your parts is on the list TBS regulates under PVoC. TBS says regulated goods arriving without a certificate can be rejected or fined, so ask your clearing agent to confirm before you order and tell us so we can arrange the documents.

What HS code do I use for motorcycle parts?

Motorcycle parts are normally under HS 8714.10. Duty and any standards requirements depend on the exact part, so confirm the final classification with your clearing agent.

FCL or LCL for my first order?

For a first order most importers start with LCL, so they can test the parts and the process without renting a whole container. We tell you what fits your volume when we quote.

Are you an authorised distributor of these brands?

Exim Kithab is an independent exporter and is not affiliated with these manufacturers. We supply genuine parts and ship from India. If you need to know more about a particular lot, ask us before you order.
